Information Regarding Typhoon No. 18 and Hotel Cancellation Policy

2026.08.22

Typhoon No. 18 is moving northwestward over the waters south of Japan, and it is unlikely to directly affect or come close to Ishigaki Island or the Yaeyama region. However, as the typhoon approaches, caution is advised regarding strong winds, high waves, and swells around the Sakishima Islands. Additionally, there is a risk that the typhoon may approach the main island of Okinawa (Naha) from the 26th to the 27th, which could result in delays or cancellations of flights departing from, arriving at, or transiting through Naha Airport. As the situation may change depending on the typhoon’s future path and weather conditions, please continue to check the latest typhoon information and flight status updates from each airline.

Please note that, as a general rule, our hotel’s special waiver of cancellation fees due to typhoons applies only in cases where flights to or from Ishigaki Airport are canceled or significantly delayed. (*However, for guests traveling from distant locations who are connecting through Naha Airport, flights to or from Naha Airport are also eligible.) Proof of your airline ticket and notification of the cancellation or other information from the airline is required. Please note that cancellations due to the cancellation of ferries departing from the Remote Islands Terminal or the cancellation of activities (e.g., due to rough seas) will be subject to our standard cancellation policy.

Depending on the strength and path of the typhoon, the hotel may, at its discretion, grant a special waiver of cancellation fees. *This does not apply at this time.

We will update this information regarding the special waiver of cancellation fees as necessary.
